This band is playing their debut record, Almost Here, in New York tonight in it’s entirety. I’m mostly devastated to be missing it, as I stand pretty strong that this is one of the best debut records I’ve ever listened to. It’s quite weird that I’m missing these Fueled By Ramen birthday shows in general, but hey, I’m unemployed and there is just no justifying paying $50 to see opening bands.

These guys were a major reason why I got into the music industry, and it’s exciting that they’re giving us some gems again. Their followup records never quite made the impact that this one did, but I think they’ve still got the potential for some pretty great stuff.

Look closely and you might just spot me in this video. Actually…maybe it’s better if you dont.
